{"id":334,"date":"2020-06-07T13:40:33","date_gmt":"2020-06-07T11:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fundacionanse.org\/en\/?page_id=334"},"modified":"2024-10-06T11:41:08","modified_gmt":"2024-10-06T09:41:08","slug":"help-us-buy-cabo-cope","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fundacionanse.org\/en\/help-us-buy-cabo-cope\/","title":{"rendered":"Help us buy Cabo Cope"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#e5e54c;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#FFFF66;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\">\n<h2 style=\"margin-bottom: 1em\">Donation campaign suspended<\/h2>\n<p>The regional government of Murcia has notified the ANSE Foundation that they will initiate the administrative proceedings to gain ownership over the properties the ANSE Foundation had acquired in Cabo Cope and its surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the fact that ANSE had contacted the regional government before and after the purchase in order to seek their collaboration in the conservation of the area, the regional administration has decided to initiate the proceedings to exercise their right to repurchase without giving other options any consideration or replying to the letter addressed to the President of the regional government.<\/p>\n<p>The ANSE Foundation has demanded that the regional government ensure the protection of the regional park Cabo Cope y Puntas de Calnegre by approving the land-use plan prescribed by a law that was passed 28 years ago, before going any further with the repurchase.<\/p>\n<p>In a similar vein, we have warned the regional government that the acquired land is off-limits to any environmentally damaging activity or infrastructure development project, and that we reserve the right to take legal action to regain ownership over the land if that were the case.<\/p>\n<p>While this matter is settled, the Foundation has decided to suspend the donation campaign. Once there is a procedural resolution, we will offer donors the possibility of getting back their money for the purchase of Cope or reinvesting it in other projects like the purchase of the Marchamalo Saltern.<br \/>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><!--\n\n<h2>How can you make a donation?<\/h2>\n\n\nYou can donate whatever amount of money you choose.
